Those who have seen the performance will have a deeper understanding of these terms. In the final scene, "Inheritance," the plot tells of "the divine stone granting the power of the Batulu deity, as the surging flood washes away the scars of war." The quality of a performance is usually judged in two ways:
One is subjective judgment—"I just think it's really good, and I feel like I want more, but I can't explain why."
The other is objective judgment—evaluating from the perspectives of visual effects, plot depth, artistic expression, and technological innovation.
"Manshow" is the kind of performance that makes it hard for laypeople to say anything negative, yet allows experts to discuss a plethora of intricate details.
From the scene concept images released for "Manshow," you can see the meticulous level of production involved in this performance.
Kuan Cheng is named after the establishment of "Kuan River Post Station during the Yuan Dynasty and the construction of Kuan River City during the Ming Dynasty." However, in the past, the tourism resources of Kuan Cheng were often seen as limited to "Panlong Lake." Yet, this high-quality performance of "Man Xiu" has made it possible for Kuan Cheng to become one of the must-visit places in Chengde tourism. It is worth noting that there is currently a "classic" travel route in the Beijing summer tourism market: starting from Beijing, first heading to Qinhuangdao for sightseeing, then traveling via the Chengqin Expressway to Chengde, and finally returning to Beijing from Chengde. Kuan Cheng just happens to be on this route, yet it seems to be "just passing through your entire world"…
At the same time, as a major ethnic drama, "Man Xiu" is likely to become a spiritual symbol for the Manchu people, similar to last year's "Golden Awards Festival" series of events hosted in Chengde, impacting the Manchu community across the country and even around the world. At that time, we can envision a scene where Manchu people from all over the country and even the world bring their next generation to Kuan Cheng to watch "Man Xiu," exploring their ethnic origins, growth, and glory; through this performance, they can learn about the customs, historical evolution, cultural forms, and national spirit of the Manchu people.
It is well known that Kuan Cheng, as one of the best-performing counties in Chengde's economy, previously relied mainly on resource exports. However, resources will eventually be exhausted. Looking around, there are numerous examples of a theater driving the development of a city. Can Kuan Cheng leverage "Man Xiu" to achieve a magnificent transformation of "cultural output creating infinite value"?
